Frontier Support Employee of the Year 2018/19
Frontier Support Employee of the Year 2018/19Specialist Care Provider, Frontier Support, announced the winner of its annual staff recognition scheme at a celebratory lunch in Croydon last week.
Jennie Griffiths, Head of Administration and HR, was awarded the £250 shopping voucher prize for the unfailingly polite and helpful support she provides to the 140 strong Frontier team. In typical Jennie style, she said: “Thank you so much for this award. But it wouldn’t be possible for me to do what I do without the help of my fabulous Admin team. So it’s a big thank you to them too.”
Tough competition
Every month, staff and clients vote for a member of the team who they feel has excelled. Monthly winners have received recognition for things such as working to support someone needing important health checks but who was very nervous about any sort of invasive procedure, to coping brilliantly with an emergency situation. At the end of each year the 12 monthly winners are put forward for consideration for Employee of the Year.
A worthy winner
CEO, Tony Piercy, said: “We’ve had some fabulous monthly winners this year so competition was fierce. There were a range of wonderful examples of how members of the team have improved the quality of life of the people we support. Which is fantastic. But working in care can be a difficult and sometimes lonely and the work that Jennie has done to improve the support we provide to our staff on the front line has made a real difference. From the introduction of a staff handbook, to improved processes and, of course, her fabulous and approachable attitude to everyone she encounters. She’s a worthy and popular winner”
Spoilt for choice
Fiona Stock took second place for her 121 work with a client around medical appointments. And Jensen Henry was awarded third place for his patience and perseverance in making it possible for someone we support to attend a Christmas party.
Fingers crossed
As Frontier’s Employee of the Year, Jennie will also be part of the team attending the Croydon Business Awards Gala dinner on 3rd October. Frontier Support has been shortlisted in the Best Employer category and, should we be fortunate enough to win, Jennie will collect the award on behalf of the company.
