New Area Manager for Team Frontier
New Area Manager for Team FrontierWe’re delighted to welcome Roy Edwards who has joined Team Frontier as an Area Manager for London and the South East.
Roy brings valuable and extensive experience, having worked as a support worker and manager in social care for the past 22 years. He’s spent the majority of his time providing community-based and residential/supported living help for adults with learning disabilities. He’s proud to be joining such an “inspirational, inclusive and communicative organisation that values people for who they are.”
In his new role, Roy sees his main priority as continuing to provide “creative, high-quality, person-centred and ever-improving services, whilst meeting the financial constraints experienced by the social care sector”. He admits that ongoing challenges include “the ever-tightening eligibly criteria for services and the continued discrimination faced by people with learning disabilities”.
Roy lives in Battersea with his wife and children. Outside work, he’s a person of many skills and interests. He’s hugely active – regularly attending exercise classes, riding his electric bike and going on architectural walks – and aims to learn the electric guitar. He’s also a qualified Life Coach who enjoys using his knowledge and skills to help people achieve what they want in life.
Frontier’s CEO Tony Piercy says: “It’s great to have Roy on board. We value his skills and experience and look forward to his input, in terms of continuing to improve our services to existing and prospective clients and meeting all Frontier’s many challenges head on.”
